OPEN LETTER
Advocating for affordable housing in Nova Scotia through energy justice
ORGANIZATIONS SIGNED ON
The Nova Scotia Affordable Housing Commission is looking at the current state of affordable housing in Nova Scotia and has been mandated to identify sustainable, and actionable long-term solutions to increase the supply of, and access to affordable housing. We know that high energy burdens can be a significant barrier to housing affordability. Energy efficiency is an intersectional solution that brings costs down in the existing rental stock, while simultaneously accelerating Nova Scotia toward it’s emissions reduction and climate change commitments.
Check out who signed on to the letter below to let the Nova Scotia Affordable Housing Commission know that they support energy efficiency as a key housing affordability strategy for Nova Scotians.
