Contracts for the Solar Industry (Online Course)

Are you​ ​responsible​ ​for​ writing​​ and/or signing​ ​​construction​ ​contracts? Would you like to be? ​The Contracts for the Solar Industry course teaches students to mitigate the risks of solar installations for all parties, including ensuring that project details and variables are fully understood within the contract to help control construction costs and minimize scope of work issues. This course also provides guidance on how to comply with the Alberta Solar Business Code of Conduct and the basics of Canadian Contract Law. Empowering Tomorrow – Youth Energy Conference

High school educators and learners from across New Brunswick are invited to the Wu Centre at UNB Fredericton for a day-long event surrounding green energy careers. Hosted by The Gaia Project, in partnership with the Centre of Excellence for Energy, and NB Power. Empowering Tomorrow will connect clean energy industry experts and youth to inspire climate action and engaging in the green economy. Educators in anglophone school districts can register their class, club, or student groups at no cost. Transportation needs will be coordinated with the Centre of Excellence for Energy following registration. Chartered buses have been organized from major centres (Fredericton, Saint John, Moncton, and Miramachi). For those schools attending from more rural regions EECD and the Centre of Excellence for Energy will be in contact following registration regarding arrangement of transportation and accommodations if necessary.
