Driving Heat Pump Adoption: Insights from NRCan and Toronto Hydro

With the growing need for sustainable home heating solutions, alternatives to traditional fossil-fuel systems are more important than ever. Electric heat pumps offer a cleaner, more efficient option, yet nearly half of homeowners and landlords remain unaware of their benefits.

In this session, Behavioural Science Fellow Jay Olson will present findings from two studies conducted by Natural Resources Canada and Toronto Hydro. These studies leveraged behavioural insights to drive awareness and adoption of heat pumps.
