Canada is in a housing crisis. We need to invest in the growth and renewal of our affordable housing stock. Financing programs like CMHC’s Canada Greener Affordable Housing and FCM’s Sustainable Affordable Housing are driving needed capital into the multi-residential portion of the non-profit housing sector. This session, featuring speakers from OpenTech and CMHC, will explore how these programs are shaping the industry and supporting sustainable, affordable housing initiatives.

That said, critical risk and cost barriers reduce the number of buildings entering the retrofit funnel through these capital programs. This presentation will outline the role of virtual solutions in dramatically reducing the time and cost of identifying which buildings are the best candidates for which retrofit pathways.
