The international community unanimously agrees that there is no doubt about the urgency of the climate crisis. Climate change is increasingly affecting government and private sector organizations. To be resilient in the face of this reality, organizations must plan and implement decarbonization plans to help them contribute to the fight against climate change, mitigate its effects on their activities, and take advantage of growth and sustainable development opportunities. Decarbonization planning involves setting greenhouse gas (GHG) emission mitigation targets and carbon neutrality objectives. The first step in organizational planning is quantifying GHG emissions (carbon footprint).
This course guides participants through the process of designing and developing GHG emission inventories based on international standards. It is focused on best practices to account for Scope 1 and 2 GHG emissions using an applied and dynamic approach.
